I was surprised in a positive way, having read the rather...

I was surprised in a positive way, having read the rather bad ratings before. I had 1 bed in double bunk bed in a very small room which was fine for just spending the night there. Good A/C. Pretty quiet for a hostel. Very clean. Area to dry towels and very nice staff. (They Gave me a room in first floor for my foot injury). The area around is very nice: lots of good, also local and cheap places to eat. Cute old colonial buildings and beautiful mosque. Close to MRT to get to the airport/ city center.

Simple room in nice neighborhood.

Staff was very helpful and let us change the room.AC was functioning fine.

First room didn't even have a cupboard to store things but we asked for a different room and that one was more favorable. The kitchen was not equipped at all; at least there should have been some cups.

I was not happy with that. I don't recommend this hostel.

Staff was nice.

The room was very small. The bed was not comfortable, the pillows were too hard and high. The blanket was too small and thin. The most important thing is it was very loud all the time, the hostel is located next to karaoke, you can hear clearly the people singing. Also, you even can hear the people who walk pass the hostel and talk. The people who stay in the hostel were very loud walking, closing door,baby crying and people talking loudly(even in their own room, you can hear clearly somebody talk very loud at 3am!!!). The mosque is very close to the hostel, you will hear music play around 3 minutes in every morning at 6am. after all night loud experience that make me couldn't sleep well, plus the music at 6am, I felt like I didn't sleep at all for my whole Singapore trip!

very comfort, air condition works well, the lock key is very secured

walking distance to the Raffles hospitals, 5 min to Bugis Station, one min to the sultan Mosque, surrounding many resto, cafes, friendly environment.

Not recommended at all

Location is good : not too far from Haji Lane and Bugis MRT. It's pretty easy to get to the center and from the airport. WiFi was ok.

A minimum service hotel where you will not feel welcome at all. Rooms are very small, not very clean, and badly insonorated. We stayed there 2 nights and were first offered an awful room with a mattress on the floor, holes in the sheets but also many many bugs under the pillows or on the walls. When we showed the pictures of the bugs to the owner, she offered us to change and showed us a room on the second floor with a plastic door and a window with no glass (but AC), then she offered an another room under the roof where you can stand up on only 2 squared meters. Finally her son arrived and showed us room 302 was that was ok, there was a window with no curtain, dust and ants but that was better that the 3 other rooms we seen before. Note : everything is extra. Towels are 1$/each, if you want to leave your bags at the reception that will be 3$ per bag, if you want to print something 1$/page... Also you can buy water but the price will increase if you purchase it when shops are closed... who does that seriously ?

Cramped room, good location

The location is good and the staffs were very friendly. We checkin 2 hour sooner but there was no extra charge. There is a information broad right at the stair which we found very helpful. Also the toilet was cleaner than i'd expected.

The bedroom is very small and doesn't have window. The toilet is cramped too.

Good low cost stay

One of the cheaper locations in Singapore, you get what you pay for so don't expect miracles. The staff is friendly and helpful, there are some good food places in walking distance and since it's quiet you'll get some nice sleep too. The rooms are small though.

THEY ONLY CHANGE THE BEDDINGS AFTER 5 Days..AND WE FOUND A WOMANS LONG HAIR IN THE BED ( I Have a short hair).. CAN IMPROVE
